The Yoshino Tea Garden considers the Fukumidori single cultivar sencha as their signature product. The aroma of this sencha is exceptional - you are sure to be pleased by the aroma from the freshly harvested new leaves floating from the steeped tea. Many of the regular customers at Yoshino Tea Garden are hooked on this Fukumidori sencha. If you are looking for a gift for a tea connoisseur, look no further!

A note about the cultivar: Fukumidori is a local tea plant cultivar grown mainly in Saitama prefecture, evaluated highly for its refreshing aroma and taste (i.e., quite different from the wide spread Yabukita cultivar).

Steeping Notes

Tea: 5 grams. Time: 60 sec. Water: 70C/175F, 200 ml.

Steep immediately upon second steep, and 30-60 seconds for the third steep.
